Marriage Unplugged’ continues its festival journey at the Leeds International Film Festival in November

We are thrilled to announce that ‘Marriage Unplugged’ has been selected for the Leeds International Film Festival, where it will play as part of the Fanomenon Short Film Competition, highlighting the best in fantasy, sci-fi, horror, dark comedy, and cult films. This is the first year for this official competition, and we’re so honoured to be part of it.

Was a treat to have our amazing DoP Mary Farbrother, our demon lighting team Matt Glaz & Michael Suszczenia, as well as 2nd AC Anh Do at the screening. What a treat!

The UK Film Summit took place on Tuesday 24th September at the BFI Southbank.
Sessions ranged from an in depth discussion about the new Independent Film Tax Credit, to how to package a UK Film, to hitting the theatrical bullseye, and the panel discussing the UK Global Screen Fund and how it can help facilitate international collaborations. ‘don’t go back’ selected for uk next wave genre lab

Hot on the heels of Joy Wilkinson’s feature debut, we are thrilled to have been selected to be part of the BFI-backed Next Wave Genre lab with her next feature, the horror DON’T GO BACK.
Set up by Film Constellation, the lab has selected 12 projects to help develop further through mentoring and masterclasses with filmmakers such as Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) and Jessica Hausner (Little Joe).

‘7 KEYS’ IN COMPETITION AT DINARD FILM FESTIVAL, FRANCE

Delighted to share that ‘7 KEYS’ will have its French premiere at the Dinard Festival of British and Irish Film in October.
The film is part of the First Feature Competition line-up at this festival that celebrates UK and Irish cinema for French audiences.
The festival runs 2-6 October.

The film stars Richard E. Grant, Julie Delpy and Daryl McCormack, with principal photography commencing in June in Hamburg, Germany.
The film is supported by the BFI Global Screen Fund, and MOIN, the Hamburg regional film fund.

THAT'S A WRAP ON "MISS"

Written and directed by Drew Pautz, produced by Katie Hodgkin and executive produced by Cassandra Sigsgaard and James Levison, the Creative England funded “MISS” wrapped on Friday. Drew is an award winning Canadian screenwriter, director and playwright with recent writing commissions including an adaptation of Dave Zeltserman’s novel "THE CARETAKER OF LORNE FIELD" for Amaro Films and John Harding’s novel "FLORENCE AND GILES" for director Julian Jarrold. MISS is Drew’s 3rd short film as a director following the award winning Film London short "HOLLOW ROAD" starring Alice Lowe and Jack Roth.
It stars Olivier nominated actress Rosalie Craig ("THE LIGHT PRINCESS"), Adam James ("A LITTLE CHAOS", "DOCTOR FOSTER") and introduces Jack Kane. Post production is in full swing. Come back for more updates here soon!

Cassandra Sigsgaard, Chair of Women in Film and Television (WFTV), gave the opening speech at the WFTV Awards luncheon last Friday. The Awards luncheon was attended by 1000 industry guests, and winners included Suffragette director Sarah Gavron, casting director Nina Gold, with the Lifetime Achievement award going to Beryl Virtue.
